Where & When We Meet

Services are held Sundays at 10:30am & Wednesdays at 7:00pm.

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Anchorage is a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts.

We are conveniently located at 1347 L St, one block from the New Sagaya City Market near downtown Anchorage.

Our Reading Room is a spiritual resource center where all are welcome.  Our Sunday School is an inclusive, approachable space where kids (from babies to young adults) are welcomed – however and wherever they are in their journey.

Meet the Pastor

Christian Science churches do not have a person that acts as a pastor. Rather, Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science ordained The Bible and her book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures as the impersonal pastor of this church. Two people are elected annually from the membership to deliver readings out of these books and conduct the Sunday and Wednesday services. Sermon topics range from “God”, "Spirit", "Substance" to "God, the Only Cause and Creator".
